How Dungeon Unlocks Work in FFXIV
Most dungeons in Final Fantasy XIV unlock through one of two paths:
Main Scenario Quest (MSQ)
These dungeons unlock naturally as you progress through the story.
Side Quests
Many optional dungeons unlock through blue quests with a + icon.
